ENCE is one of the 11 teams participating in the Skyesports Championship 2024. The Finnish organization, fielding a European roster, has had a lackluster 2024 after hitting a nice peak at IEM Katowice 2024 with its Polish majority lineup. Since then, roster changes and lack of consistency have plagued the team. With the addition of former NAVI and Monte player, sdy, and ENCE Academy prospect, podi, the organization is looking to return to the tier-one scene.

The Skyesports Championship 2024, held in Mumbai, India, serves as a good start for this relatively new lineup. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander, the IGL of ENCE and one of the greatest IGLs in the history of CS sat down and shared a few words with Sportskeeda Esports during his time in India.

ENCE hopes to have a strong showing at the Skyesports Championship 2024 as one of the more experienced lineups at the event, led by four-time Major winner gla1ve. When asked about these roster changes affecting his ability to adjust and IGL consistently, he replied:

"I mean, when you are changing players, it's always hard especially for the IGL and coach. These two people are the ones that needs to work the most, and make sure everybody is understanding the game in the same way. But, we also have to listen to the players and make sure they feel comfortable in the way we want to play."

He even spoke about the steps they'll need to take to improve performance.

"It's finding a balance between keeping the style that you want but also letting the new players change some stuff around to make them comfortable playing the game. This will take some time as we only had about two weeks of practice in total with this lineup. I hope, with some more practice, we can become even better."

He also commented on his stay in India and overall experience playing at the event:

"My experience has been pretty good. Of course, there was a small obstacle on the first day but since then the tournament has been running pretty smoothly so I am pretty happy. Regarding India, the hotel we are at is pretty nice. I haven't been outside a lot yet but maybe there will be some room for that so we will see. Everything has been quite good."

ENCE has secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the Skyesports Championship 2024 after securing a 3-2 record in Group A. The squad will face 3DMAX on July 27, 2024, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals to play against Aurora Gaming.
