As should be obvious from the lore of this hero, Wolverine attacks using melee strikes only. Each strike fills up a gauge at the center of the screen, channeling his berserker power. His secondary fire allows him to dash at the target and deal a bunch of strikes. One of his abilities causes him to lunge at the target and then retaliate with a flurry of claws.

Another ability allows him to shrug off incoming attacks, including Ultimates (though they still damage him), and move in for the attack. His own Ultimate is called Berserker Rage, which empowers him, causing him to leap upwards and strike at a location while dealing damage to everything in his path. All in all, there is no doubt that Wolverine will be an unstoppable force on the battlefield.

The game arrives on December 6, 2024, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms. It is a free-to-play experience, meaning players can download it right away at launch and go at it solo or with friends. In a match, each of the two sides will feature six players, and can choose from heroes that fall under one of three classes: the tanky Vanguard, damage-focused Duelist, or support-style Strategist.

The gameplay will be in the third person, and feature a cel-shaded art style. NetEase Games also presents its own spin on the beloved Marvel Comics universe, with its own designs on established characters, and an original plot featuring Doctor DOOM who initiates a chaotic multiverse that pits copies of Marvel heroes against one another to stop further chaos from playing out.

The pre-load is live right now, allowing players to download the game and be able to play right away at launch.
