Psylocke brings her sharp katana to the multi-dimensional battlefield of Marvel Rivals. She wields a katana and can become invisible, gaining the upper hand over an enemy. Similar to Genji from Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch, she can unleash a flurry of strikes to deal massive damage to foes.

While Psylocke was originally X-Men's Betsy Braddock, she isn't the one reprising this rendition of the assassin - and neither is Kwannon, the current Psylocke. Instead, it is Sai from an alternate reality who was introduced in Demon Days: X-Men.

In-universe lore follows heroes and villains across time and space fighting to stop Doctor Doom and his 2099 version from taking over, so Psylocke being from a different reality makes sense.

This is also reflected in her design, which is inspired by Peach Momoko's take on Psylocke, boasting vibrant purple hues. She will join the roster as a Duelist class character when the game finally launches later this year.

That is not all, however. As the trailer ended, there was a teaser for another potential in-game pick. The final scene shows a full moon with a brief flash of a caped hero's silhouette against the moonlight, suggesting that the iconic white-clad crimefighter Moon Knight will also arrive sometime in the future. This should allude to a full reveal before the game launches later in 2024.

Marvel Rivals arrives on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 6, 2024 as a free-to-play game.
