Several X-Men and other obscure Marvel heroes are reportedly in the pipeline for Marvel Rivals
As per the leaker, Professor X and Jia Jing will fall under the support-style Strategist role. The former is not just a superhuman telepath but also the iconic founder of the X-Men group of mutants. Meanwhile, Jing is a pixie-esque mutant with rocky skin and insectoid wings.
Another X-Men classic, Scott "Cyclops" Summers will supposedly make an appearance. While the leaker did not divulge what role he might play, the fact that his powers revolve around using deadly optical beams would suggest that he will likely be a duelist. Colossus on the other hand is supposedly a Tank-like Vanguard due to his body of steel, which should help him soak up incoming damage and create space.
Paste-Pot Pete is a funny addition, as the chemist-turned-criminal is supposedly a Duelist. He will likely be able to use his Paste Gun to trap foes and maybe even deploy his various Gadgets during battle. Now a few different people have been Locus under the Marvel umbrella, but it is assumed the game rendition will be based on Reyna Piper who possesses teleportation abilities.
