On May 9, 2023, Twitch star Matthew "Mizkif" returned to his channel and reacted to a recently uploaded video by YouTuber Patrick CC. In the 21-minute feature, the latter claimed that Twitch "won't exist" in seven years, describing the platform as the "self-sabotage" of a livestreaming empire. One of the segments featured Kai Cenat's subathon, during which the YouTuber claimed that the Streamer of the Year did not receive enough recognition after making history following his subathon.
Hearing this, Mizkif claimed Twitch was "very lenient" towards Cenat during the Mafiathon livestream. He said there were "multiple" instances where the 21-year-old could have been banned. However, the Texas native claimed that Twitch's decision not to ban Kai Cenat was correct. He explained:
"He got away with a lot of s**t... and honestly, do I think Twitch did the right thing there? Absolutely! Absolutely, they did the right thing doing that. They should have let him go and... do that. I do think that if you are trying to do a 24/7 stream like that, in front of hundreds and thousands of people, it's much harder to constantly have ToS-friendly stuff. Things do happen."

Mizkif gives his take on Twitch not banning Kai Cenat after latter "got away with s**t" during his subathon
The discussion began around the two-hour mark of Mizkif's livestream when he watched Patrick CC's recent video, "Twitch Won't Exist in 7 Years (The Self-Sabotage of a Live Stream Empire)." The YouTuber claimed that no matter how popular a content creator becomes, Twitch will "take them down." He used the example of Kai Cenat, who rose to become the platform's most prominent personality.
At the 12-minute mark of the video, Patrick CC stated that instead of "boosting" Kai Cenat for making history on the platform, Twitch decided to honor him by gifting him a pair of Nike Air Force 1 sneakers:
"Kai breaking the sub record was a huge news! Covered by publications like, The BBC and Bloomberg. And most of us would assume that Twitch would do anything to boost Kai up. After all, he made history on their platform. At the very least, they would try use this amazing moment to show the world what wonderful opportunities there are for creators on Twitch."

Patrick CC continued further and added:
"They could squeeze out more press with Kai and do campaigns to get more people, or brands, interested in livestreaming. But no. Instead, they sent him a $100 pair of sneakers and banned him from their platform."
When Mizkif heard the YouTuber's take, he responded:
"Twitch was very lenient with Kai, during his subathon. There were multiple times where Kai could have been banned and he didn't get banned because Twitch knew that he was doing his subathon. And it was smarter for them marketing-wise, to not ban him, than to ban him. Because it could possibly ruin subathon."

The co-founder of One True King (OTK) stated that Twitch's decision not to ban Kai Cenat during the subathon was correct. He elaborated:
"So, I think it's totally a good thing that Twitch didn't ban him because it just made their platform look so much better. (Mizkif reacts to Patrick CC referring to Twitch sending custom sneakers to Kai Cenat and eventually banning him) Give me a break, bro! They banned him for, like, 48 hours? What is this narrative?! A two-day ban he got. Yeah, I mean, this guy, Patrick, is just farming, like, the, 'W' side. Just, like, bro! That's not even it!"
Fans react to Mizkif's take
DramaAlert's tweet featuring Mizkif's take on Kai Cenat attracted a handful of reactions. Here's what the Twitter community had to say:
This is not the first time Mizkif has shared his sentiments regarding Kai Cenat. Both streamers got into a massive controversy when the former expressed his displeasure with Twitch policies after he was banned after reacting to content featuring an indefinitely banned streamer. Matthew suggested that Cenat should have been banned as well for inviting Darren "IShowSpeed" to his channel.
