With these two victories in the first two games of the tournament, NIP Flash currently sits comfortably at the top of the Regular Season table with six points.
Joseph "Zarate" Yeo, NIP Flash's coach, talked about how the team will "continue to work even harder":
"As the only team with minimal changes [to our lineup], we are still the best and we will be the best. Our only roadblock is ourselves; as long as we continue to work even harder, stay consistent, and give our all, nothing can stop us!"
While NIP Flash's fans rejoice, other heavyweights are not far behind. Despite significant changes made to its roster, EVIL has also put up an unbeaten weekend on display and has forced NIP Flash to share the top spot at the Regular Season table after the first week's conclusion.

While EVIL once took pride in its all-Singaporean line-up, it has imported seasoned Filipino Gold Laner "Markyyyyy" and "Boyet" after narrowly escaping relegations in the previous season (MPL Singapore Season 7). It seems like the changes made to the roster might make the team one of the serious contenders for the champion's crown.
Team captain, PoWerFul, talked about how "EVIL needs to field a strong team" in his post-match interview:
"We stepped up the game with our imports this season. Given how strong NIP Flash is, I believe that EVIL needs to field a strong team to defeat them. We want to be the champions and NIP Flash is the war [that we have to fight]!"
As per the current MPL Singapore Season 8 Regular Season table, EVIL and NIP Flash have taken the first two places with a 100% win rate after Week 1. Vanguard Esports with one win and one loss, takes up the third position; Fontyardigans, Rift Esports, and HomeBois SG have acquired the fourth, fifth, and sixth places with similar records.
However, RSG SG and Bleed Esports, two of the most heavyweight teams, are currently at the bottom of the MPL Singapore Season 8 table.
