A recent article from EA hints that the much-awaited Battlefield game, scheduled to release in 2025, will reportedly focus on implementing “military realism”. In their recent program “Hiring Our Heroes”, the company collaborated with two ex-military veterans, namely, Aaron Johnson, former Special Ops, and Madison Daugherty, former Military officer, currently working on the project to inject realistic gunplays and effects into the upcoming game.
With that in mind, this article will shed some light on the fact of what the developers might and might not implement in the upcoming Battlefield Game in 2025. Apart from that, we’ll also discuss the gun mechanics and the aesthetic atmosphere EA has implemented in the past.

DICE collaborates with Military veterans to implement “military realism” in the next Battlefield
As mentioned earlier, DICE has collaborated with two ex-military persons, Aaron Johnson (currently an Associate Game manager at Ripple Effect) and Madison Daugherty (currently Battlefield product manager) to inject “military realism” into the upcoming game title in 2025.
Since these veterans are now working full-time for their respective game studios, they are expected to implement some new and advanced weapon mechanics catered towards modern military style.
Additionally, they are most likely going to enhance the realistic scenarios by upgrading the surrounding aesthetics, and better sound effects to make the experience more authentic for EA enthusiasts worldwide. Moreover, according to some quotes in the articles on EA, Aaron has talked about working with the Assault squad, teaching them the basic military maneuvers while engaging in the battleground.

The article also hinted towards adding some tight infantry behind the enemy lines. Meanwhile, Daugherty explained her duties in the forces, while mentioning her job as a Distribution Platoon Leader in the third infantry, which strongly validates the aforementioned claim.
However, this isn’t the first time EA collaborated with military veterans. Earlier, the company consulted with Andy McNab, an ex SAS Soldier to introduce an exceptional story in Battlefield 3. Following the advent of the title, the community seems to love it to date.
Keeping all the information in mind, some community players really felt that EA and DICE might break the current equilibrium of the Battlefield games, turning it into a “mil-sim” like Arma, deviating from its original arcade mechanics. However, that’ll never be the case since Battlefield possesses its legacy of crazy arcade-type shooting mechanism.
If EA tries to implement the realism of a “mil-sim” in the popular multiplayer title, the community is highly unlikely to take it on a positive note.
