One of the highlights of the Dota 2 Clavision: Snow Ruyi was undoubtedly Nigma Galaxy's performance. With the absence of their veteran captain Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi and legendary safelaner Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, the roster opted for stand-ins. Ivan "OneJey" Zhivitsky and Daniel "Ghost" Chan stepped in to replace them and delivered an impressive performance, helping the former supergiant finish the campaign in 3rd place.

The last time Nigma Galaxy achieved such a feat was back in 2022. Fans are now calling for changes, with many suggesting Kuroky drop the mic, as he is unfamiliar with the current meta. Apart from the group stage matchups, NGX competed in five Bo2 series with the stand-ins at the Dota 2 Clavision: Snow Ruyi.

Ghost as a Nigma Galaxy stand-in in Dota 2 Clavision: Snow Ruyi

A major talking point during the event was the cohesive gameplay of Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, the midlaner, and Ghost. The former would keep enemy heroes occupied while the latter farmed and gradually became more powerful. Once everyone was ready, the team would get together, throw in a smoke, and engage in teamfights.

If Sumail was eliminated after initiating, Ghost would spearhead the cleanup crew, and destroy foes in teamfights. This partnership between the midlaner and safelaner significantly boosted the squad's performance.

Ghost took on the role of a reliable carry who could turn fights, acquire the necessary items on time, and fill other gaps that NGX's past safelaners couldn't. While Miracle's gameplay is more balanced, Ghost's style is more hawkish and team-oriented.

OneJey as a Nigma Galaxy stand-in in Dota 2 Clavision: Snow Ruyi

OneJey stepped in as a soft support, while NGX's position 4, Maroun "GH" Merhej, played as a position 5 throughout Dota 2 Clavision: Snow Ruyi. He was given meta support picks and helped Saieful "Fbz" Ilham win the laning stages in most matchups. OneJey's gameplay may remind viewers of Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka, a two-time TI winner well-known for his support style.

GH replacing KuroKy's was beneficial for the squad, as his primary focus was setting up good teamfights and supporting his team in any way possible. On the other hand, OneJey roamed the battlefield and was a constant nuisance to the enemy team. He also managed to focus and disable the right targets in the middle of a teamfight.

OneJey's gameplay provided a much-needed boost for Nigma Galaxy. His ability to use different heroes and save teammates, along with his overall supportive gameplay were key elements in NGX's recent success.

While Ghost's aggressive playstyle contributed heavily to Nigma Galaxy’s offense, OneJey’s was equally impressive on the support front.
