A recent Reddit post from industry insider Jason Schreier shared that Blizzard had plans to branch out its popular franchises like Warcraft, Overwatch, and Diablo into multiple Netflix series in 2020. Unfortunately, the developers and the steaming platform got tangled in a lawsuit shortly after, resulting in the series going into a cold bag.
Back in 2020, Activision Blizzard slapped Netflix with a lawsuit for employee poaching, claiming the streaming platform poached their then-CFO while he was under a contract. - StarCraft II did pretty well but it didn't meet the company's expectations
