PMGC 2023 Group Stage: Dates, format, teams, and more

The initial round of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023 league phase, the Group Stage, will take place from November 2 to November 19. For this stage, Tencent has seeded 48 teams into three groups: Green, Red, and Yellow. Each group consists of 16 teams. A cash prize of $3 million is up for grabs at the tournament.

In this round, the top three performers from each group will directly progress to the PMGC Grand Finals, while the fourth- to 11th-ranked squads will move to the Survival Stage, which is the second round of the League phase. The 12th- to 16th-ranked teams will be knocked out of the tournament.

Group Green will compete from November 2 to November 5, while Group Red will play from November 9 to November 12. Group Yellow will compete from November 16 to November 19.

After this phase, the Survival Stage, which features 24 teams (eight of each group), will be played from November 22 to November 24. The third phase of the tournament, called the Last Chance, will feature the top 16 of the Survival Stage and will be hosted on November 25 and November 26.

The main goal of each team will be to finish in the top three of their respective groups. The top nine teams from the Group Stage and the top five from the Last Chance will be picked for the Grand Finals.

Two teams, The Esports Club and S2G Gaming, have already been invited to participate in the PMGC Finale, scheduled to take place from December 8 to December 10.
