FMPONE, the creator of de_cache, just dropped some preview images of the new Cache, and the CS2 community is excited to see the progress. New pictures of the A bombsite with all new textures and props give players a taste of what's to come. Judging by the images posted, it's only a matter of time till the new map makes its long-awaited debut in CS2.

The Source 2 engine has breathed new life into the iconic map, and it's safe to assume Valve has big plans for it.

One of the most iconic maps in Counter-Strike is finally looking like it will debut in Counter-Strike 2. Cache has gifted the community countless mythical clips, and the players are gearing up to make the most of the map.

The bombsite A images that were dropped have generated more hype surrounding the map and have got the whole playerbase on the edge of their seats for the official release. A huge portion of the community was heartbroken when the map was taken out in 2019, and now all those loyal fans can rest easy.

According to FMPONE, the visuals are not final, and he's still tweaking the map to perfection. With the new assets and props supported within the Source 2 engine, CS:GO's de_cache would surely get a much-needed facelift.

This is not the first time any news regarding Cache has graced the community. Previous image leaks have urged players to speculate as to what the rest of the map would shape up to be, and we still don't have a complete answer. But if the history of cache says anything, we can be sure that the map would become an instant classic in CS2, just as it was all the way back in CS:GO.
