PUBG Mobile star Paraboy joins JD Esports for a transfer free of $759K

Beloved PUBG Mobile star Paraboy has joined JD Esports after a four-year-long stint with Nova Esports. The club signed him for a huge transfer fee of around $759,000 (₹6.34 crore). The veteran has earned several coveted trophies, including the two Global Championships. After a long time, he will be seen playing under the new banner in the upcoming PEL 2024 Summer.

Paraboy is arguably the most loved PUBG Mobile player with a massive fan following worldwide. He gained popularity after exhibiting his outstanding skills in international and Chinese tournaments. He also got the Esports Mobile Player of the Year award at the prestigious Esports Awards in 2021.

With this signing, JD Esports will strive to win the upcoming PEL 2024 Summer. The club has been struggling in the since its inception and has not achieved any big titles in the last four years.


Paraboy enjoys a rocky ride so far in PUBG Mobile

Debuting the scene in early 2019, he has achieved a remarkable milestone in his past five years. He has taken more than 2,000 eliminations in the regional PEL tournaments. The star began his esports career with XQF. He attracted everyone’s eyes in the PMCO Spring Split Global Finals 2019. His club obtained second run in this international competition.

In the same year, XQF then conquered the Global International Summer and achieved the first runner-up spot in the PEL. His team emerged victorious in the PEC 2019, where the best top tier teams from across the world competed. Paraboy played a key role in all these tournaments and helped his club earn worldwide reputation.

Nova Esports acquired XQF in mid 2020, which proved to be the right move, as the organization went on to win the PEL Season 2. The lineup, under the captaincy of Jimmy, also won the PEC 2020 and added another prestigious title to their name. Paraboy was the star individual athlete in this contest.

Nova Esports retained their superior gameplay and went on to lift the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2020 trophy. The team notched up the PEL 2021 Season 3 and also conquered the second edition of the PMGC.

Nova Esports struggled a bit in the last two years. The team was ninth in the PMGC 2022 and failed to qualify for the PMGC 2023. Jimmy also left the team earlier in 2024.

Paraboy will aim to make a comeback under the banner of his new home.
