PUBG Mobile announced power rankings ahead of the Esports World Cup (PMWC) 2024 Riyadh, scheduled in July. The publisher has created a ranking of the top 63 teams based on the results of previous major tournaments. Fans can check out these rankings on the game's official esports website. It will also be updated after every major tournament.

This is the first time that PUBG Mobile has officially created a ranking for the top-performing teams. The publisher has already hosted one international tournament this year, named the PMGO 2024 Brazil. The second global event, named the PMWC, is all set to be played between 28 teams next month.

This power ranking has been generated based on teams’ performances in the previous three majors; PMGO 2024, PMGC 2023, and PMWI 2023. The publisher also disclosed the formulas it used to determine the rankings. At the time of writing, the official has revealed the names of the teams ranked 11th to 63rd, while the top 10 teams will be revealed in the coming days.

James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite said;

“It’s been an incredible season of PUBG MOBILE esports this year with a range of jaw-dropping performances throughout. Keeping track of these talented displays, the release of the Team Power Rankings will provide fans with invaluable insight as we head into the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) as part of the Esports World Cup this summer. No doubt teams will be working hard for the upcoming event and we’re excited to see the spotlight shine on top teams and their mind-blowing talent.”

It will be interesting to see what teams have made it to the top 10. IHC Esports from Mongolia, who won the PMGC 2024, is most likely to secure a spot in that list. Apart from them, Reject from Japan and Alpha7 from Brazil, who were the top two in the PMGO, will definitely be in the top 10.

D’Xavier from Vietnam held 11th with 382.88 points, followed by TEC from China. DRS Gaming from Nepal claimed the 24th spot on the list. Popular clubs like Bigetron RA, BOOM, and Nova Esports ranked 26th, 27th, and 50th positions, respectively.

Teams will aim to improve their rankings in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup 2024. Many clubs have already earned their spot in this mega competition with a grand prize pool of $3 million. It is all set to kick off on July 19 with 28 teams from around the globe.
