Selangor Red Giants have become the invincible champions of Mobile Legends Bang Bang Esports World Cup 2024. As the Mid Season Cup 2024 moved outside Southeast Asia for the first time in the tournament's history, the community was excited to see how this new venture of the tournament in the Esports World Cup would turn out.

The top 23 MLBB pro teams arrived in Riyadh to contest for the highest prize pool (three million USD) in MLBB Esports' history, with only 16 qualifying for the Group Stage. Between remaining eight teams, there were 15 regional Qualifier champions and the winner of the WildCard tournament.

Selangor Rerd Giants, the Esports division of Malaysia football team (Selagor FC), arrived in Riyadh as unbeaten champions of MPL Malaysia 2024. They were seeded in Group B where they had to face teams like See You Soon, Team Falcons and Fnatic ONIC.

Among their groupmates, Team Falcons (from Saudi Arabia) were the MENA champions and were playing in front of their home crowd, while Fnatic ONIC were the runner-ups of the M5 World Championship tournament.

While the Malaysian giants managed to steal a draw against Team ONIC, they registered two wins against Team Falcons (2-0) and See You Soon (2-0) to secure their spot in the Quarterfinals.

FireFlux Esport were waiting for them in the Quarterfinals, who, despite being underdogs, managed to qualify from Group A, competing against teams like EVOS Glory, RRQ Akira, and NIP Flash, whom the Giants would face in the Semifinals.

Despite struggling a bit, the Selangor Red Giants managed to beat FireFlux Esports (3-2) and advanced in the Semifinals against NIP Flash, captained by Diablo, a seasoned EXP Laner in the game. However, the Giants' chariot was unstoppable by then, and they defeated NIP Flash 3-0.

Finally, the unbeatable Malasiyan giants arrived in the Final of Mobile Legends Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024, where they were up against Falcons AP.Bren, the champions of the M5 World Championship tournament.

Both teams were neck-to-neck against each other, with the first game going in favor of Falcons AP.Bren. However, the Red Giants returned to win the second game. Although Falcons AP.Bren won the third game, the Selangor Red Giants won the next two games to take the lead.

Falcons AP.Bren then won the sixth game to take the Final to the seventh game (decider) where Selangor Red Giants dominated the Filipino team and took the crown home.
