In the Brawl Stars Spongebob Season, players can use event-exclusive power-ups to strengthen their brawlers. The power-ups can be acquired from the Krusty Krab Shop, either for free or by spending some Krusty Kash. Additionally, power-ups will only be active for the duration of the event.
The power-ups are found in Power Meals, which are event-exclusive drop boxes. Additionally, Supercell has announced handing out one free Power Meal to players every day, through the Krusty Store. However, as of late, some gamers have noticed they received an XP Doubler instead of the promised Power Meal.
In its latest post on X, Brawl Stars explained that this is due to the refresh rate of the Shop, which is inconsistent with the daily reward's drop rate. Hence, some players are given a fallback reward of XP Doublers. Additionally, it was explained that the XP Doublers may appear for those who fulfill the following criteria:
- Have maxed out three or more power-ups.
- Claimed the previous free Power Meal.
- Have Four Power Meal offers in the Krusty Kash Store.
The post also explained that the issue should resolve itself with the next shop refresh, which occurs every 48 hours.
