Team Vitality and GodLike qualify for COD Mobile World Championship 2024 Stage 5

Team Vitality emerged as winners of the Snapdragon COD Mobile Pro Series Season 5 India after defeating their arch-rivals GodLike Esports in the Grand Finals. Both clubs have progressed to the Stage 5 or World Finals of the World Championship 2024, which will be played from October 4 to 6 in Atlanta, the United States. The previous edition was also held there.

The World Finals will feature a prize pool of $1 million, where the 16 top clubs from across the globe will clash against each other for the trophy. Eleven teams have already confirmed their spots for the competition from their regional tournaments.

Team Vitality and GodLike’s performance in Snapdragon COD Mobile Pro Series Season 5 India

A total of eight teams battled in the Challenger stage of the event. It was played in two distinct phases and had a prize pool of $25,000. These teams were divided into two groups for the initial phase. The top two from each group competed in the Playoffs.

In Group A, GodLike clinched both their matches and topped the table. Revenant Esports was second in the group. Both squads moved to the Playoffs, while Team Felines and Rho were eliminated from the tournament.

In Group B, Team Vitality played excellently and won both their games. XLR8 was the second-best team in the group. Anthem and Team SLN were knocked out of this COD Mobile contest.

The Playoffs were played in a Double-Elimination Bracket on August 10 and 11, 2024. GodLike hammered XLR8 in their first encounter, while Team Vitality beat Revenant Esports in their first match. Both teams faced each other in the UB Finals, where GodLike won this match by a score line of 3-0 and made it to the Grand Finals.

Team Vitality fell to the Lower Bracket and faced XLR8 there. The club clinched this match and again met GodLike in the ultimate stage. The club kept up their gained momentum and outplayed their opponents by a scoreline of 4-3.

This phase is also called Stage 4 of the COD Mobile World Championship. Team Vitality defeated GodLike for the first time in this stage. Both organizations have made it to the World Finals for the fourth consecutive year.

GodLike Esports had amazed everyone with their second-placed finish in the 2023 World Championship. Both clubs will again represent India at the World Finals and fight for this prestigious COD Mobile Championship.
