Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown offers free car as server error compensation

Following a myriad of technical server issues post-launch, Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown developer KT Racing has announced that those who played the game will receive freebies as compensation. These freebies will be available for everyone who chose to stick with the bumpy ride prior to the September 30, 2024 patch. The rewards include a custom Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe "Adventure Edition" (1986) and five stickers.

While the compensation may not sound like much in the face of constant disconnects and server errors faced by players, it is still good to see that the developers have not given up on the open-world arcade-sim racer despite its many shortcomings. Here's everything you should know about the newly announced freebies and how to obtain them in the game.

How to redeem Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown compensation rewards

This reward will be available to all players who logged in and played Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown before September 30, 2024. The items will be automatically added to the player's inventory and garage once Season 2 arrives in December 2024, so they need not jump through any hoops.

That said, players will be waiting a while longer to get their hands on the 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe "Adventure Edition." This is an off-road vehicle, so once fans get their hands on it they will be able to take it for a spin on Hong Kong island's mountainous and wild terrain after Season 2 drops next month.

The Premium stickers offered alongside this car can also be applied to any other vehicle that has been purchased and added to one's roster. So, if players do not want to drive the new Porsche 911, they can use the stickers on their favorite cars to show off their rides in style.
