Tetris Forever to feature over 14 games from the classic arcade series

The upcoming Tetris Forever is set to be the biggest compilation of hits featuring the addictive block puzzler game. Digital Eclipse has announced a list of the games that players can expect to check out, with the full game boasting over 15 playable titles. Furthermore, some of these have not been released outside of Japan making Tetris Forever a must-buy for collectors and fans of Tetris.

Tetris fans are in for a treat as they will get access to these games in the collection that were originally launched across a plethora of retro Nintendo consoles:

  • Hatris (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1991 on the Game Boy)
  • Hatris (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1992 on the Nintendo Entertainment System)
  • Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1992 on the Super Famicom)
  • Tetris Battle Gaiden (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1993 on the Super Famicom
  • Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss Genteiban (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1993 on the Super Famicom)
  • Super Tetris 3 (released by Bullet-Proof Software in 1994 on the Super Famicom)

But wait, there's more! Tetris Forever will also feature a brand-new game in the series labeled Tetris Time Warp. As the name suggests, it will allow players to warp between different eras of Tetris gameplay, not just dynamically altering the visuals but also the gameplay style.

A virtual gallery and museum are also included, allowing fans to travel back in time to view archived media such as photos, promotional ads, and more. A new documentary boasting over 90 minutes of information about the origins of Tetris is also present in the title.

Tetris Forever arrives on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch later in 2024.
