"This is brilliant from him" - Fans react as MrBeast gives out custom YouTube Play Buttons to employees

YouTube star Jimmy "MrBeast" recently presented his employees with a custom-made YouTube plaque (or Play Button). Jimmy has a large team of workers, including editors, concept artists, designers, and managers. As a token of appreciation, he handed them unique MrBeast-themed plaques that included the employees' names and the subscriber count from when they joined the team.

Has YouTube given MrBeast a custom-made Play Button?

MrBeast is YouTube's largest creator, boasting 341 million subscribers — the highest on the platform. Unsurprisingly, he has accumulated numerous YouTube Play Buttons, reflecting the subscriber milestones he has achieved.

Currently, YouTube awards four official Play Buttons: the Silver Play Button for reaching 100K subscribers, the Gold Play Button for 1 million, the Diamond Play Button for 10 million, and the Red Diamond Play Button for 100 million.

However, Jimmy received a special 200 million subscriber Play Button from YouTube, which he unveiled in March 2024. The Play Button is shaped into MrBeast's iconic logo and features a diamond-like finish:

Aside from MrBeast, T-Series is also said to have received a special 200 million Play Button. A picture of this Play Button went viral back in 2022.

As of this writing, Jimmy has not received any Play Buttons for reaching 300 million subscribers. He is the only YouTuber on the platform to have crossed the 300 million mark, with the closest being T-Series, which has 283 million subscribers.
