It should be noted however that not all characters will be available to play from the get-go. Players will begin with iconic picks like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron with them having to grind to unlock subsequent characters. That said, each hero boasts unique skills. These range from Optimus Prime's devastating Gravitational Axe Throw and Bumblebee's quick Plasma Sting to Wheeljack's Wrecking Bomb and Elita-1's Missile Rain.
The gameplay is divided into different modes. The Alt Mode sees players compete in races as the Autobots and Decepticon's vehicular forms, while the Bot Mode allows engaging in cathartic robot-on-robot action. Players can further lend a personalized touch to their favorite heroes by fitting them with distinct weapons, stat-enhancing Relics, and unique skills.
TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials also includes an Arcade Mode allowing players to compete against friends in two-play Local Multiplayer.
TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials launches on all major platforms including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 11, 2024.
