Deadlock is a new shooter title that is currently under development. The amount of information for the game is currently limited and mostly based on rumors or leaks. It seems to be a third-person shooter game mixed with a tower and base defense gameplay (similar to Dota 2). However, Valve has not officially released any concrete information about their upcoming game.

Since the game is currently being developed, players cannot directly apply to be a part of the closed beta. The developers are reportedly sending out invites to players. Should they choose to accept it, the game can be downloaded and played in a private playtest environment.
There also seems to be a referral system where players can nominate a few friends to receive an invite. However, the exact method of choosing candidates for Valve’s secret shooter title is unknown at the time of writing this article.
