Summer Game Fest 2024 revealed plenty of surprises to the gaming community, including the Valorant Console Beta. After years of speculation and rumors, Riot finally confirmed the expansion of the first-person shooter to more platforms, particularly on current-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox X|S. The limited beta is set to roll out next week in selected regions.

Valorant Console Beta Start date

The Valorant Console Beta will start on June 14, 2024. While Riot has not revealed how long it will run, the playtest should last for over a month if it's following the previous beta test timeline for PC.
An open beta will follow soon after, although Riot has not confirmed the final date yet.
Valorant Console Beta supported regions
At present, the console beta is limited to certain regions. However, Riot intends to bring the playtest to more areas so it's encouraged to sign up even if your region isn't included in the initial announcement.

How to sign up for Valorant Console Beta
Signing up for the Console Beta is easy and won't take much time. Simply follow the steps below:
- Go to the official Valorant beta website.
- Select the "Register Now" button.
- If you have a Riot account, select the Sign in option. Otherwise, create a Riot account first.
- Enter your Riot account credentials.
- Wait for the page confirmation.
Once you see the "Success" page, wait for the confirmation email. If you are invited, a separate email containing a code and a referral link will be sent to you. You can invite up to five friends using your link.
Valorant console features, crossplay details, and more
As announced by Riot during the Summer Game Fest, Valorant on the console will have custom-built gameplay. Hence, it won't feature crossplay between console and PC. However, accounts will have shared inventory and cross-progression across platforms.
Riot has yet to announce the release date for the game's console version.
