It comes as no surprise that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has become the top-selling Steam game just hours before early access. The highly anticipated sequel has been sending the Emperor's faithful into a righteous rage since first being revealed on December 9, 2021. Suffice it to say, the title could be a real GOTY contender.

As per Steam's statistics, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has become the top-selling Steam game just hours before early access. It has jumped six places ahead, leaving many notable titles such as Counter-Strike 2, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and even Black Myth: Wukong in the dust. However, it has to be said that these games have all had the limelight for quite a considerable amount of time.

So far, Space Marine 2 has spent seven weeks in the top 100 top-sellers by revenue list. This is all taking into account that September 5, 2024, only marks the start of early access for Space Marine 2. The final release date for Space Marine 2 is on September 9, 2024. Based on the trajectory showcased thus far, Space Marine 2 is bound to stay atop for some time. If this wasn't fascinating enough, there's more.
