On X, Mark Rubin recently shed light on the recent XDefiant Server Test session from the developer's perspective and stated that the game will be released very soon.
Commenting on the release date, Mark stated:
"And lastly release date coming very soon!"
The Server Test was the last one before the game's release and was intended to stress test the game's servers. According to Mark, these tests went well.
That said, however, he pointed out that there were still a few issues that needed to be fixed before release. The community also pointed some issues out during the recent Server Test session, and the developers addressed them at the earliest. Despite implementing these changes, fans complained about issues pertaining to the game's net code and how it needs improvement.
The developers have taken note of these problems and are working on them as claimed by Mark Rubin in another post, where he states the three main areas that the developers to be resolved ahead of its release.
The shooter went through multiple beta phases last year. But the developers went silent for a while working on the game from the learnings they gained via these tests to deliver fans a compelling shooter experience on day one.
After the launch being delayed for so long, it seems fans finally might be able to get their hands on the shooter this year. Although the official release date is yet to be announced, based on earlier rumors it can be expected to go live this summer.
