According to @XDefiantAlerts on X, the XDefiant developers are currently testing out the kill cam "behind the scenes." However, according to Mark Rubin, the development team needs some time to provide players with a bug-free experience when using the feature. He said:
"Being worked on. Tried them out the other day. Coming along but still need some polish and bug fixing which take some time."
Watching a killcam after death will make players aware of the enemy’s whereabouts. Other than that, it will also help them detect cheaters based on the opponent’s crosshair movement and tracking.
Popular titles like COD, Apex, and R6 Siege already possess this feature. As the developers are already testing theWatching a kill cam feature, it’s quite evident that the people behind Xdefiant are trying to compete on the highest level with these popular titles.
Mark Rubin hints at XDefiant developers adding enemy voice chat to the game
Mark Rubin also hinted towards adding the enemy voice chat in XDefiant. When he was asked whether the developers are going to implement a feature like enemy voice chat, he replied:
"Very likely just not sure when at the moment. It's on the list."
Adding a voice chat to the enemy team will allow players to exchange friendly banter with opponents. However, the developers are probably aware that this also means that the voice chat might become toxic. They must take some precautions to prevent such situations.
However, as Call of Duty’s direct competitor, enabling features like these will ensure XDefiant keeps growing as an arena shooter title.
