Zenless Zone Zero Caesar leaks: Gameplay, combat animations, skills, and more

Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 update will bring in two highly anticipated characters who were shown in the official launch trailer. Caesar in particular stands out for her robust design, and her gameplay leaks have certainly garnered quite a bit of attention from the community. In footage shared by Dimbreath, a credible third-party source, the upcoming character was seen using her abilities.

Zenless Zone Zero leak shows Caesar's gameplay animations

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 drip marketing campaign has teased Caesar as one of the upcoming playable Agents. While the official reveal had details about her background, leaks from Dimbreath show her in-game combat animations and other facets of her kit.

Based on the embed above, it appears that the new character will carry a shield throughout the combat, somewhat similar to Seth Lowell, the latest A-Rank Agent. This isn’t unusual considering both units specialize in Defense fighting styles. The shield certainly reflects their authority over the defensive playstyle.

That said, Caesar is not restricted to protecting allies by any means since she can unleash counterattacks like no other character. The counter mechanic is somewhat different from Parry in Zenless Zone Zero as it is tied to her Special Skill, meaning she has complete control over the ability.

Interestingly, Caesar’s attacks were inflicting massive Daze damage on enemies, as shown in the leaked gameplay. This further indicates that she gains Impact stats, which will allow her to consistently stagger opponents in the arena. Besides, she throws her shield towards a target upon activating her Ultimate and inflicts solid Physical DMG.

Hence, her damage amount shouldn’t be underwhelming by any means, especially when the community expects her to be an S-Rank Agent. Speaking of which, she will likely debut in the first banner of the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 update, which should be releasing around September 25, 2024, considering the current patch follows the six-week cycle.
