This is incredibly impressive for its initial launch month, especially when considering that both of its launch characters were mediocre at best.

As detailed in the Reddit post from r/gachagaming above, Zenless Zone Zero has managed to claw its way to the top of the Sensor Tower revenue charts. For the uninitiated, the Sensor Tower data charts are used to describe a game’s monthly revenue on all officially supported mobile platforms across both international and regional markets (such as Japan/China).

Zenless Zone Zero has drawn in $96 million, an impressive feat for the launch month of the title, with barely any appealing gacha-only content to go along with it.

ZZZ has managed to surpass the likes of Wuthering Waves, as well as Genshin Impact in terms of July 2024 revenue. While impressive nonetheless, it should be kept in mind that Genshin’s performance for this month is suboptimal, and not indicative of its overall popularity (which is expected to explode with the launch of the new region of Natlan, along with its characters).

Furthermore, readers should keep in mind that this month’s Sensor Tower data is subject to errors, and may not take into consideration the overall sales from the PC port of Zenless Zone Zero. As such, the overall revenue generated by ZZZ (and its competitors) is expected to be higher than the reported amount.
