So far, the officials have teased an upcoming character and a few quality-of-life features, while the rest of the information is brought to the community’s attention by leakers online. Speaking of which, credible third-party sources, such as Baby Monster Team, have laid out the speculations for the future playable characters on Telegram.

The Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 drip marketing campaign has revealed one of the featured characters of the patch, who is none other than Caesar King. She is the leader of the Sons of Calydon, a currently existing faction in the game that has previously introduced Piper and Lucy to the playable roster.

It has been confirmed that Caesar King belongs to the Physical element and specializes in Defense. Her character type details were previously hinted at by Mero, a renowned leaker in the ZZZ community. Both the user and Baby Monster Team have further speculated that Burnice will be the second character to debut in patch 1.2.

Burnice will likely join the Fire roster upon release, specializing in Anomaly fighting style. If the leaks are true, she should be next on the line to get teased via the ongoing drip marketing.

That said, neither HoYoverse nor the leaks have indicated the ranks of the new characters. But, given how they have appeared on the radar, it is safe to assume that both the Agents are from the S-Rank category. In that case, update 1.2 might not see the release of any A-Rank characters since leakers have only shared information about Caesar King and Burnice.
