According to ex-Nintendo employees, the company is apparently aware of the recent barrage of Nintendo Switch 2 leaks. Given how frequent they have been, news of such leaks is hard to avoid. Both Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang, the duo presenters of the Nintendo Minute YouTube series, claim that the recent occurrences are something that hasn't sat well with the console maker.
That said, both insiders have suggested that Nintendo will not break their silence, no matter what, until the hour beckons. Here are the details.

Nintendo is waiting for the right time to unveil the Nintendo Switch 2
As per GamesRadar, Kit Ellis explained in a Patreon video that while the influx of hardware, accessories, and more leaks have not passed by the company unnoticed, they do not plan to give in to the wants of the leakers - which is obviously to reveal the Nintendo Switch 2 as soon as possible.
Here's how Ellis explains it:
"Something that we always try to impart is Nintendo's value of the long-term plan rather than a short-term opportunity, and them changing their date to announce the Switch (2) now, that's reacting to a short-term thing that is happening"
He adds that this is "not a great time for them now". However, according to him, Nintendo thinks these leaks will not matter in the long run as people will be occupied with the games and features once the console is out. As such, it doesn't make sense for them to divert their attention from their goal.
Krysta posted on her X account, agreeing with this sentiment, and said that things will likely continue as they are until it is time:
"As wild as these leaks are Nintendo is going to stick to their plan. They have a date in mind and they are not budging no matter what".
That said, Nintendo has allegedly been taking behind-the-scenes action against leakers. Recently, Genki showed off a Nintendo Switch 2 render, showed off mockups at CES 2025, and even claimed they had modeled the renders after the real console. Genki staff were apparently approached by Nintendo lawyers, which is why they closed their showroom booth early.

That said, the Nintendo Switch 2 is an open secret in the industry at this point. We'll have to wait and see when the company makes their move.
