Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked is a brand-new update for the traditional Quick Play mode in the game. It's a takeover by Sombra where the game runs at a heightened pace. With this update, the developers have experimented with the release of a brand-new feature called Pickable Passives, which essentially allows players to choose a passive ability of their own.
Mere hours after the game mode's release, streamers and players are already seemingly resenting the latest update. A popular OW2 content creator made a post stating:
"No more role passives plz I’m playing vs Hana Song the Invincible as a PvE raid boss expansion."

Samito's post has resonated with a ton of players, and many of them have weighed in their opinions with a similar stance. Players were already disappointed with the controversial passive system that was implemented with the game's release, and with the Pickable Passive, the community believes that Hero-balancing has simply gone down the drain.
The new changes with the Pickable Passives with Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked overpowers the Support Role yet again as the new changes guarantee them the following abilities:
- Resourceful: Reduces cooldowns by 20%.
- Swift Save: Increases healing by 50% for targets below 35% HP.
- Close Call: Gain a brief 20% speed boost when below 50% HP.

Players remain disappointed as Tanks have yet again been met with distasteful Pickable Passives, leaving the gameplay experience with this hero class extremely underwhelming. Another player @OnlyLegs compared the state of Overwatch 2 with a raid boss battle against Voracidous the Invincible, a tanky boss in the Borderlands story.
While some aren't against the idea of the new Pickable Passives introduced with Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked, the concerns raised were mostly about the implementation of this system in a competitive environment.
Players are apprehensive of the addition of this feature in Competitive mode solely fearing a major imbalance in the meta structure. The ongoing balance changes have already made the environment quite volatile, and players believe the addition of such a mechanic would be quite harmful to the game's integrity.
The variable experiences from players are indicative of the unbalanced nature of the game, and while a lot of one's experience is skill-dependent, we cannot merely ignore the wave of patches that have disrupted the Hero-balance economy.
User @bonesoiree compared the state of the game with the Ship of Thaddeus. He said the game has lost its identity since its release in 2016.

Is the resentment towards Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked justified?
The Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked is nothing but a modifier upon the ongoing Quick Play playlist. It is an experimental design to try out the concept of Pickable Passives. From a casual standpoint, this game mode is nothing but a limited-time playlist for most.
However, competitively, if a feature like Pickable Passive makes its way into the title, there needs to be a strict Hero-balance update to amend the ongoing chaos with overpowered Tanks.
The resentment that has been portrayed by the community isn't targeted specifically at the Overwatch 2 Quick Play Hacked mode, but rather the state of balance that has made this game unplayable for most players.
