Official Genshin Impact 5.0 characters and expected banner phases

HoYoverse has confirmed three new characters for release in the Genshin Impact 5.0 update via drip marketing. All three are from the new region, Natlan. They were previously revealed in the 4.8 livestream teaser before having an official voice actor announcement soon after the Ignition teaser. This article covers everything you need to know about the official characters arriving in Genshin Impact Version 5.0.

Genshin Impact 5.0 characters officially announced

Kinich, Mualani, and Kachina are officially confirmed to be the new Genshin Impact Natlan characters that will be playable in Version 5.0. Listed below are the elements that each character will use:

• Kinich: Dendro
• Mualani: Hydro
• Kachina: Geo

Various leaks suggest that Kinich might be a 5-star Dendro Claymore. He is a Huitztlan Saurian Hunter and is described as a cruel and cold-blooded killer who has a pragmatic and utilitarian approach. If the commissions given to him pay him fairly, he is always guaranteed to complete the task efficiently. He also has a companion named Ajaw who calls himself the "Almighty Dragonlord"

Mualani is expected to be a 5-star Hydro Catalyst, according to various leaks. She is a part of an organization consisting of tour guides, called the People of the Springs. Mualani is a guide that helps people tour and see the wonders of Natlan and she has already made a prominent name for herself all over the region.

Kachina is speculated to be a 4-star Geo Polearm. She is a part of the Children of Echoes and has been given the name "Uthabiti" by the tribe's elders. Additionally, this character is an expert navigator of the mountains in Natlan and a reliable treasure hunter.

Genshin Impact 5.0 expected banner phases

The Genshin Impact 5.0 update is expected to go live on August 28, 2024, if we consider HoYoverse's 42-day release pattern for each version. There is currently no information on which phase will feature the banners of Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina.

However, the banners in the first half of Version 5.0 will start on August 28, 2024. Every banner lasts for three weeks, meaning the second half banners could begin on September 18, 2024.
