The Once Human A Family Legacy quest takes players to the Alternate Reality Research Insititute, where they're tasked to locate a hidden item called Rosetta Safe. This is a multi-step challenge where players must examine a diary, solve a cube puzzle, find a map, and unlock a hidden treasure. Those who complete the quest will be rewarded with Energy Link, Eclipse Cortex, and Stellar Planula.

Once Human is a sandbox survival game developed by Starry Studio. Released on July 10, 2024, this popular free-to-play title features alien-like enemies.

Once Human A Family Legacy quest guide

To solve the Once Human A Family Legacy quest, follow the steps below.

1) Find Mae's Diary

Find a house at 4550, -2551, just above the Red Sands' Evergreen settlement. There, find Mae's diary atop a desk near the back door. Press F to read the diary.

2) Solve the password

To get the last few digits of the password, look to your right to find small cubes lying on the ground. Rotate each of the cubes until the leftmost block shows "U," the center block "6," and the rightmost block "D." Mae's Lockbox should appear at the upper right corner of the room.

Press F to open the box and retrieve the Rosetta Researcher's Map.

3) Go to the Alternate Reality Research Institute

Use the map and go to the Alternate Reality Research Institute at 6944, -1619. Enter the southern building via the northeast corner stairs.

Reach the top of the facility and locate the RST Lab in section A of the Rosetta floor. Be prepared to fight enemies along the way. Inside the lab, locate the Rosetta Safe. Press F to open the safe and reveal the rewards. The A Family Legacy quest should be completed after opening the safe.
