Here are the key revelations from the Overwatch 2 Season 11 roadmap that should have all players excited:
1) Pink Mercy returns
The infamous Pink Mercy returns to Overwatch 2 Season 11 on June 25, 2024, and will be available till July 8, 2024, as a part of the game celebrating its milestone of reaching 100M players. This skin will be a part of the new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle, which will be available for $14.99.
2) Super Mega Ultrawatch
The Overwatch 2 Season 11 is based on the theme Super Mega Ultrawatch, as revealed in the official roadmap. This theme reimagines our beloved Overwatch 2 characters in traditional Japanese Hero attire (similar to Kamen Rider). In this series, we see cosmetics for the following Overwatch 2 heroes:
- Ana
- Sojourn
- Genji
- Cole Cassidy
- Wrecking Ball
3) New Mythic Calamity Empress Ashe skin
The Mythical Skin for Overwatch 2 Season 11 is the Calamity Empress Ashe skin, which portrays the Deadlock Gang leader as the antagonist for the Ultrawatch heroes. To spice things up, she conjures a magical summoning circle to bring on B.O.B. during her ultimate.
The Calamity Empress Ashe skin can be unlocked with 50 Mythic Prisms and customized to three additional variants with more prisms.
4) Mythic Weapons
The Mythic Bound Demon Reinhardt weapon skin arrives on July 23, 2024. This is a new class of weapon customization and has unique animations for every swing that our Tank hero does in the game. After finally building up your ultimate and hitting that Earthshatter, Reinhardt will be shouting "Big Slam!" when using this weapon skin.
This mythic weapon skin also needs to be unlocked by Mythic Prisms, and functions in a similar manner when compared to Mythic Skins.
5) New Push map: Runasapi
Runasapi is Overwatch 2's newest Push map, which is a Peruvian town hidden in the Andes mountains. This map features prominent locations like the Inti Warrior Historical Museum and Monument. It will likely contain a lot of vertical plays, owing to the cliffs around that can be used.
Runasapi will be available for play following the launch of Season 11 and become available in both Competitive and Quick Play modes.
6) Other changes in Overwatch 2 Season 11
Season 11 of Overwatch 2 will begin with the free Aztec Sombra bundle, which can be earned by playing up to 40 games (wins count as double). Winning earns you this new bundle, which features a festive Legendary Aztec Sombra skin, a name card, and the spray. It also rewards you with a nifty 40,000 Battle Pass XP that can significantly boost your Battle Pass progress.
The Summer Games 2024 return in Season 11 and commences on July 9, 2024. Summer Games have always been a popular event in the Overwatch series, with many players returning during these times.
Finally, Overwatch 2 brings in a new collaboration, this time with the Transformers series, which also releases on July 9, 2024. The game saw the introduction of the Overwatch 2 x Porsche collaboration in Season 10, and developers at Blizzard have made haste for this next big mashup, continuing their streak of stellar collaborations.
