Overwatch 2 Support tier list
There are a total of 11 Support Heroes in Overwatch 2. In this section, we’ll unveil a tier list distributing all the existing characters into four categories: S, A, B, and C.
We’ve divided the Heroes based on some parameters like vulnerability, difficulty, and pick rates in different ranks. Here’s a quick glimpse of the Support Heroes and their tiers:
- S-Tier: Kiriko
- A -Tier: Juno, Ana, Baptiste, Brigitte, Lucio,
- B-Tier: Zenyatta, Illari, Moira, Lifeweaver
- C-Tier: Mercy
Here’s a brief on why we’ve put these Heroes in their respective tiers:
S-Tier
Here’s a quick glimpse at the S-Tier Hero in Overwatch 2 Support tier list:
Kiriko
Kiriko is definitely one of the best and highest-picked Heroes in different lobbies regardless of rank. Her Protection Suzu can negate any form of incoming damage to her teammates.
Moreover, Kiriko can teleport and ride walls with the help of her Swift Step and passive abilities, respectively, making her one of the most difficult targets to hit for the opponent's Tank and DPS characters. Lastly, her Kitsune Rush is so powerful that it can turn the tide of a team fight in her squad's favor.
A-Tier
Let’s jump right into the A-Tier Heroes in the Overwatch 2 Support tier list:
Juno
Our very own Martian Support Hero, Juno received a slight nerf to her Mediblaster and has become an A-Tier Hero as a result. Despite being one of the most vulnerable characters in the lobby, she can be a difficult target by performing the right movement techniques.
Apart from her movement abilities, the Pulsar Torpedos can easily destroy low HP enemies by tracking them. She appears to be one of the difficult movement tech Heroes after Lucio.
Ana
The Egyptian Sharpshooter Ana possesses a versatile kit that allows her to heal and as well as inflict a significant amount of damage on opponents. Moreover, her Sleep Dart is quite lethal to cancel a few of the dangerous ultimate in-game.
Ana can use her Biotic rifle to stay beyond enemy lines, making her a hard target to find in Overwatch 2. Apart from her sidearm, her anti-healing grenades are quite lethal for some Tank Heroes like Roadhog and Mauga, and make them vulnerable. Lastly, her Nano Boost remains a reliable asset for her team to date.
Baptiste
Baptiste is definitely one of the strongest and most pivotal Support characters in Overwatch 2. His Biotic Rifle can provide a sufficient amount of AoE healing to his team. Apart from healing, his rifle's recoil was recently buffed by 30%.
Hence, players can also utilize him as a secondary DPS for the well-being of their team. Moreover, his Immortality Field is surely a game change that can turn the tide at any given moment.
Baptiste's Exo-boost is a key unique ability that allows him to stay away from the core fighting areas and remain safer during combat.
Brigitte
Swedish Engineer Brigitte takes her spot as one of the highest-played Supports, especially in high-ranked lobbies of Overwatch 2. After Blizzard implemented a massive buff to her ultimate and made her shield bigger, she could annoy her opponents and counter a few abilities with the help of Rocket Flail.
The Goddaughter of Reinhardt mostly excels in close-proximity battles. Considering the current Tank meta, she can be an excellent choice as a Support.
Lucio
The Brazilian DJ Lucio is one of the most difficult Heroes to master featuring a certain movement tech. He can switch between his Heal and Speed boost depending on certain scenarios with the help of his Crossfade. Moreover, his Amp It Up can heal multiple teammates within his particular range.
Lastly, Lucio's Sound Barrier is one of the most powerful ultimates in Overwatch 2. It can counter a lot of other lethal ultimates by increasing teammates' overall health.
B-Tier
Here’s a quick glimpse at the B-Tier Heroes in Overwatch 2 Support tier list:
Zenyatta
Unlike other traditional Support characters in Overwatch 2, Zenyatta leans towards a more offensive side of the game. While his Orb of Harmony can heal his teammates slowly, it takes a couple of seconds to melt the enemy character having the Orb of Destruction on their head.
Zenyatta's Snap Kick is quite lethal on certain maps like Illios, Lijang Tower, Rialto, and more. Lastly, his Transcendence makes nearby allies almost invulnerable for its entire duration.
Illari
Our very own Peruvian Support character Illari in Overwatch 2 isn't that significant anymore. Her Healing Pylon can be destroyed easily once it gets detected during an intense gunfight. However, the Solar Rifle remains one of the most lethal weapons a Support character can possess.
A couple of critical shots from that rifle can shred a DPS or Support character within the blink of an eye. Lastly, the Captive Sun appears to be a game-changing ultimate ability. A proper combo with any Crowd Control Tank like Zarya and Orisa can end the game for Illari's opponents.
Moira
Talon's council member Moira is one of the most versatile Support Heroes in Overwatch 2. She can provide a sufficient amount of healing as well as damage with her Biotic Grasp. Moreover, her heal and damage orbs are quite fruitful while dealing with long-range teammates or enemies.
Moira can use her Fade to get out of any intense situations and avoid some lethal ultimates like RIP-Tyre, D.Va's bomb, and more. Lastly, her Coalescence can deal a lot of heals and damage to teammates and opponents, respectively, to turn the tide in her team's favor.
Lifeweaver
Lifeweaver isn't really the best choice based on the current meta in Overwatch 2. Even though his heals are reasonable enough to sustain a DPS with fragile health and erratic movements, his vulnerability is quite concerning as he doesn't have many movement abilities except Rejuvenating Dash.
However, Lifeweaver's Petal Platform sometimes comes in handy as it can place him and other teammates in a higher location, making it hard for some opponents to reach. His Life Grip can be a game-changer as it can pull teammates in a certain direction to save them from getting into tricky situations.
C-Tier
Below is a C-Tier Hero in Overwatch 2 Support tier list:
Mercy
Mercy is one of the less-picked characters in almost every rank. Apart from providing Healing and Damage boosts to her teammates, the Caduceus Blaster doesn't come in handy often. Moreover, if anyone is not familiar with the famous Super Jump of Mercy, they might struggle to survive the intense team battles in Overwatch 2.
