Overwatch: Latest champion Sigma and his abilities revealed

Overwatch's latest Hero 'Sigma' has now been added to the test servers. The 62-year-old is a Dutch astrophysicist and a professor. He was originally a genius scientist who suffered major damage during an experiment.

Although the accident took a heavy toll on him, it also gave him some unique abilities. He is able to manipulate gravity at will. Sigma was locked in a Government facility before Talon set him free. Talon used him as a weapon of destruction which naturally made him evil.

Sigma will primarily function as a frontline tank. Here are all his abilities.

HYPERSPHERES

Sigma launches two gravitic charges, which bounce off walls and implode after a short duration, damaging enemies within a sizable radius.

EXPERIMENTAL BARRIER

Sigma propels a floating barrier to a location of his choosing. He can dismiss the barrier at any time.

KINETIC GRASP

Sigma freezes incoming projectiles in midair, converting them into shields.

ACCRETION

Sigma gathers a mass of debris and flings it at an enemy to knock them down.

GRAVITIC FLUX

Unleashing his full powers, Sigma takes flight, lifts enemies in a targeted area, and launches them into the sky before slamming them back down.

Something to note about Sigma is that he doesn't wear any shoes. His entire body is covered by what seems to be a metal armour except for his feet. Maybe he used all his money on his research? Jokes apart, another character in the game that has does not wear shoes is Winston. Surprisingly he is also a Scientist, but he is a Gorilla.

Sigma should arrive to the live servers in the next patch. Overwatch's last champion Baptiste was released back in March so it is a much-needed addition. There are plenty of gameplay videos already available on Sigma so make sure to check them out before trying the champion.
