Phil Spencer hints the return of old IPs On Xbox One

The new head of the Xbox Division Phil Spencer is set to last for sometime as his push for a focus on games have been successful so far. Now Spencer has declared the return of a few old IPs in a recent interview on a podcast.

Spencer presented a list of games on a recent interview at the Inner Circle Podcast. Among these games, some were exclusives and said that they were games that fans wanted to se return. The games according to NeoGAF are as follows.

-Halo Wars 2

• -Alan Wake 2
• -Blinx
• -Mech Assault
• -Fusion Frenzy
• -Banjo Kazooie
• -High Heat
• -Kameo 2
• -Otogi
• -Knights of the Old Republic
• -Shenmue
• -Conker

The next part to this is that Spencer declared that there will be some changes in some of them. He also stated that they were not working on Mech Assult and that High Heat was too difficult.

Among the bunch Halo 2 is most likely to be successful compared to Shenmue. Spencer also hinted that the game Rare will be a surprise. He stated, “Rare’s success is really important to us, and they have done a great job of being a cornerstone of our early kinect success with Sports Rivals, but I think its time for them to spread out and think about more. Thats the kind of push I gave them the last time we met, lets go and make an iconic Rare game that people centre on what Rare has always been about. I have not seen it yet, but if the pitch holds to their history I think we are likely to see something in that vein. They are such a rich studio with great franchises in their history, and hopefully their future.”

This could mean that the true Banjo Kazooie series is in for its return and it would definitely be worth the wait.
