Players debate over Marvel Rivals Proficiency Rewards, deem it “incredibly lacking”

Marvel Rivals Proficiency Rewards is a set of free items that players can unlock by mastering one specific hero. The game currently has 33 playable heroes, each with different rewards to unlock. In a recent discussion on the official Marvel Rivals Subreddit, players are seen debating over the fact whether the Marvel Rivals Proficiency Rewards are worth it or not.

The reason why this debate materialized is that Proficiency Rewards only offer free items such as Avatar Icons, Graffiti Spray, and KO Prompt (the icon when you knock out an opponent), and do not offer player favorites such as in-game currency or character skins.

User u/elbeewastaken posted a question related to the same issue that features the Proficiency tab of Psylocke in Marvel Rivals:

A lot of players seemed to agree with the user and shared their views. User u/Ok_Hedgehog6502 believes that mastering a particular character should be rewarded with a special hero skin. While u/crackednutz mentioned that the developer should give players a reason to grind the game, u/Robert_Balboau mentioned that all the rewards, including the Battle Pass, are lacking.

However, some players are in support of the game developer. User u/InoFanfics believes the Marvel Rivals Proficiency Rewards will eventually improve and give better items. Considering it is Season 0, they are probably taking feedback and would be adding more rewards, to which u/Warm_Fathlessness63 agrees.

Where to find Marvel Rivals Proficiency Rewards

Given that the game is new, this might also be the first time many players might be coming across Proficiency Rewards. Here's how to find and claim them:

• From the home screen, go to the Heroes tab at the top left.
• Select the hero you would like to master.
• Navigate to the last tab in the menu named Proficiency and select it.
• There you will see a Rewards section.

You do not need to enable the rewards option. If you have played multiple hours with a particular hero, your Proficiency Rewards should already be there to claim. Simply click on Equip to use any of the items you have unlocked.
