Players still facing connection problems with GTA Online

GTA online

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V’s online mode has run into some problems since the games recent release, with many players reporting that the feature is unplayable and even broken. GTA V’s original release last year also ran into a very similar issue when players reported that the online feature wasn’t working, and it looks like history has again repeated itself with GTA V remastered.

Players have flooded Rockstars forums with numerous complaints of not being able to connect to the games online mode. Rockstar has also recently issued a patch which they hoped would fix these issues, but it doesn’t seem to have worked. Players are still reporting that the feature is broken and the update has not helped in any way. Rockstar’s connection guide for GTA Online has not helped many players either.

The connection guide issued by Rockstar contains solutions for issues that players may face with GTA online, such as making sure Network Address Translation (NAT) is set to open and forwarding ports for the console. Forwarding the port may actually help solve the problem for a lot of players, at least according to Rockstar. Of course other common solutions have also been listed like switching off the firewall, enabling or disabling Universal Plug and Play (UPNP) or unplugging the router for 10 mintues.

Rockstar has issued a recent patch 1.03 which contains fixes for the connection problems players have been facing. Other than this, they have also set up a support page which has been offering individual troubleshooting help for players affected by these connection problems.

Hopefully, GTA’s Online issues will be fixed by the time the next major update is out, as this update will include the much awaited Online Heist feature.
