In what has to be the weirdest place to find Pokémon, gastroenterologist Jonathan Wilcox decided to try the game out when doing a routine colonoscopy and much to his surprise, he did find a Pikachu within his patient’s colon.

Pokémon Go displays the creatures based on the location being set by the GPS so it is a bit of a surprise seeing a Pikachu in a hospital, you would have expected a Chansey (nurse-type) Pokémon or even a Muk or Grimer, given the rather obscure location where Pikachu was found.

The doctor in question though stated to Gomerblog, “This is going to be one weird but awesome procedure note”, surely it might be difficult to explain the situation to his seniors.

We agree that the note would be one of the weirdest one’s ever written. Oh, by the way, it seems that the number of people asking for colonoscopies to capture a Pikachu is rising, though we would not recommend going to such extremes to nab the furry little creature.
