Possible fix for the Zalissya Town Hall door bug in Stalker 2

The campaign of Stalker 2 is set in a fictionalized version of the real-world Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, where a deadly nuclear accident back in 1986 devastated the surroundings and left it full of radiation. In the game, this area is simply termed the Zone. Here, individuals known as Stalkers roam the surroundings in search of items, ammunition, and everything else required to survive in a radioactive zone.

However, the game is not free from the occasional bugs. One pertinent bug is the door bug in Zalissya, which is also known by the name of the Monolith bug. In it, AI opponents can get stuck behind or killed as soon as they encounter the main door, which can hinder progress. Below are some possible fixes for this bug.

Fixing the Zalissya Door bug in Stalker 2

During the mission An Invisible Threat, players are tasked with reaching the Zalissya Town Hall. However, many have reported issues such as locked doors, enemies failing to appear, or even dying upon reaching the door. This bug can significantly disrupt progress and prove frustrating for those who encounter it.

To fix this, consider heading over to the Sphere area and engaging with some Monolith enemies without killing them. This will make them follow you, so keep them on your trail and reach Zalissya. Once you are in the area near the town hall, kill all the Monolith enemies. This may help fix the bug, as many players have reported this fix to be working.

Alternatively, consider walking around the area and firing some stray bullets to attract their attention. This may help draw the enemies out of the building, as once an enemy manages to open the door to escape the building, others would also follow suit.

Specifically for PC players, an alternative fix is to download the UETools mod from the Nexusmods website and run it. This mod allows you to access the developer console and lets you teleport around the map. Once in the game, clip through the door by using the developer console. Additionally, you can refer to this Reddit post for detailed instructions.

Doing this will have Gaffer speak to you and ask you to approach Warlock, who will provide you with a quest. Then, head outside the town hall to speak with Hamster, and choose to pay the bodyguard when prompted. Once Hamster and the bodyguard head to the door, it should now permanently be open. Do note that this step is only viable on PC as it requires modding.

In any case, the devs are aware of the issue and working toward a fix. Given the game-breaking nature of the fix, it will likely be addressed in the near future via a patch to the game.
