The bulk of this update is the new Boss Trials feature. Available after talking to Ardaban in the hub area of the Haven on Mount Qaf, you can select this new option to fight previously defeated bosses. This is done via two separate modes - Boss Revenge and Boss Rush. Here's how they are distinct from one another:
- Boss Revenge: You can replay a previously fought boss as many times as desired at any difficulty mode to relive the heated moments of cathartic action.
- Boss Rush: As the name suggests, this is a rush mode where you will battle the story bosses in succession. Failure will reset the run.
In Boss Revenge, you will be rewarded a medal based on the efficiency and time taken to defeat the boss, including whether a "No Hit" category that will only record a run if you avoid taking any sort of damage during the fight. Meanwhile, Boss Rush will allow you to take a breather between fights by changing Amulets and Athra Surges to suit the scenario at hand.
But there's more in this free update for Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Two new outfits await as rewards for clearing these trials, including a costume based on the Prince of Persia (2008) reboot. Lastly, a few new fast-travel points have been added to make getting around the labyrinthine layout of Mount Qaf easier.
