Psylocke and Magik's team-up in Marvel Rivals might be S-tier, here's why

Marvel Rivals features various team-up abilities. To use these abilities during matches, players have to pick a certain set of characters. Out of all, Magik and Psylocke’s team-up skill, Psionic Disc, is exceptionally strong. Since both of them are damage dealers and feature somewhat similar playstyles, in good hands, they can pose quite a threat to the opponents.

Why the Magik and Psylocke team-up in Marvel Rivals is S-tier

As mentioned, Magik’s team-up ability “Dimensional Shortcut” allows Psylocke to use the Psionic Disc skill. When both characters are on the same team, the latter gains the ability that lets her rewind herself a few seconds. Upon activation, Psylocke will immediately return to the position she was in a couple of seconds ago.

Since both Psylocke and Magik in Marvel Rivals feature a diving/hack-and-slash playstyle, pairing them is exceptionally effective. To secure victories one after another, team them with each other. When Psylocke pushes an enemy and ends up using all of her skills simultaneously, the team-up ability will help her get back to safety. It also grants her a decent amount of armor temporarily. Hence, if her health is low, she can utilize the extra bit of HP, and run away to her teammates.

Since Psylocke can easily initiate a fight, she can keep the adversaries busy for a bit. Later, she can use the team-up skill to run away while Magik steps in and secures the elimination. Similarly, Magik can start a fight, while Psylocke steps in and helps the former secure the kill.

As the Psionic Disc’s cooldown is quite long, use it when necessary or you may end up in a situation where you won’t be able to use the ability when you need it the most.

Depending on your playstyle, Psionic Disc can be used in many ways. Use the skill to reposition and start fighting again. Moreover, use Psionic Disc when surrounded by several enemies and immediately activate Psylocke’s ultimate ability to catch them off guard.
