PUBG Snow Map: Twitter's Mixed Reaction on Vikendi coming to PUBG PS4 and PUBG Xbox

The creators of the PlayerUnknown's Battleground's franchise, via Twitter, announced that the brand-new PUBG Map Vikendi would be migrating from the Public Test Servers to the Live Servers of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 22 January 2019.

This release comes just over a month after the map initially debuted on the PC version of the game.

Vikendi is a beautifully-crafted map and is easily the most detailed map available in the popular Battle Royale game. The 6 km X 6 km snow-covered map that promise to offer a balance between the gameplay styles seen between Sanok, and Erangel and Miramar.

Furthermore, the map features altered vehicle dynamics and the ability to track other players via footprints and vehicle tracks on the snow, setting up interesting encounters during Battle Royale matches.

The company's launch announced on Twitter did receive some praise and excitement; however, there were still large sections of users who were disappointed with Tencent Games and wanted the company behind the franchise to fix a slew of issues alongside releasing the snow map.

However, the same level of excitement was not shared with other Twitter users. Many felt that the company behind the franchise should improve the current state of the game before launching the brand-new Vikendi snow map. Notably, there were many requests regarding the crossplay functionality, something that is present in the PUBG rival - Fortnite: Battle Royale.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PUBG Mobile, on the other hand, is available on both Android and iOS devices.
