R6 Esports (Rainbow Six Esports) recently took to X to announce the quarantine of Skopos, the latest operator that was added to the Defenders roster. She was removed from the Operator pool for competitive play, and it seems like the ability and potential of this new character have caused some serious fair play concerns. The post also did not outline if and when the new Operator will be added back to the pool.
Skopos is easily one of the most creative characters introduced in Rainbow Six Siege as of yet. While the actual operator is a wheelchair-bound sniper, she controls two V10 Pantheon Shells from outside the map. This has led to a 'one-mind-two-body' gameplay style in which only one shell is active at a time while the other sits behind a reinforced shield and acts as a bulletproof camera.
This article will highlight the quarantine of Skopos in R6 Esports.

Skopos temporarily removed from R6 Esports competitive play
R6 Esports posted an image on the official X page that cited the quarantine of Skopos from competitive play. It also stated that there are fair play concerns that might compromise the health and integrity of the scene. Furthermore, the post claimed that officials would be monitoring the operator closely and provide a final verdict about her quarantine state for Stage 2 at a later date.
Skopos is one of the most powerful characters in the game but so is everyone else when utilized properly. However, the current argument about its strength revolves around the two-body mechanic. Still, even though it does look like an unfair advantage for the defender side to have two able-bodied fighters, it does not change the team into a 6 member squad.

It is important to note that Skopos loses control of both Shells if even one is taken down, bringing a much-needed balance to prevent the character from living a second life. However, it is a definite advantage to be able to place down one body at a different location and then swap at a second's notice to create pincer attacks all by oneself. In the right hands, this Operator can be used to unleash hell on others by repeatedly flanking and using the other body to monitor movement.

The double role that Skopos plays (information gatherer and support character) in the game might also be another concern on R6 Esports’ end. She is a versatile character who can form shields with one Shell to block site entry while actively patrolling with the other body.
