Miles Morales made his video game debut in 2020 with the iconic Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales. Marvel fans have since been debating over the capabilities of Miles Morales. While there exists a group of people who believe Morales becoming the central focus of the video game franchise isn't a good decision, there co-exists another cult who want this to happen.

Working perfectly under the shadow of Peter Parker in Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2, the video game series has already depicted many instances where Miles Morales proved his worth. With fans anticipating the next Spider-Man game, here are some reasons why Miles Morales should be the solo protagonist in Spider-Man 3.

3 reasons why Miles Morales should act solo in Spider-Man 3

Doubting Miles Morales' caliber as a Spider-Man might be a shock to many of you who have already played Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales since Morales was pretty much on his own during the entire game. Peter Parker left New York City in the hands of Miles Morales during the opening scenes, being sure of his powers. And Parker couldn't be wrong here considering he was the only Spider-Man in the city for ages.

Even when Parker proposes returning from his vacation to help Morales during one instance of the game, Morales assures him that he can fight bad guys on his own. And he kept his word, taking care of both Underground as well as Roxxon Energy.

The game's ending also reflected that the citizens of Harlem City are finally starting to trust and accept Miles Morales as their Messiah. That said, mentioned below are three reasons why Miles Morales should be the solo protagonist in Marvel's Spider-Man 3.

Even though Spider-Man Miles Morales saw Morales following the steps of Peter Parker, there were many instances where he appeared much stronger and more capable than Peter Parker himself. And Morales doesn't necessarily have to take anything away from Parker to become a solo protagonist. There is still a possibility that Peter Parker will become the main hero again.

However, throughout the first title, Miles is constantly reminded by those around him that he is not the original Spiderman. NPCs refer to him as the "Spider-Kid" or the "other" Spider-Man. However, given his strength, they might make him the only Spider-Man of New York City.

2) Miles Morales has fewer bad guys to take care of

Even though reducing the number of villains in Spider-Man 2 is a move that is criticized by most fans, this might as well create an entry point for Morales as the only Spider-Man. With fewer villains in the next sequel, Insomniac might make Morales the solo protagonist, finally enabling Miles to receive all the credit he deserves.

With almost all villains focused more on Peter Parker in Spider-Man Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2, Morales was somewhat overshadowed by Parker's larger-than-life presence.

3) Miles Morales being the solo protagonist favors the Multiverse theory

The multiverse theory was introduced by Marvel Comics in the 1960s and has been an essential element in their movies and comics ever since. Multiple Spider-Mans have existed in the comics for a long time, so it might be time to reflect the same in their video games as well.

For fans of the multiverse, making Miles Morales the primary hero makes sense. Moreover, his presence in the comics has been a point of contention for years. Having different versions of their favorite superheroes is a cool aspect for many fans.

Following in the footsteps of the comics, making Morales the central focus of the series feels like a good move for the franchise.
