Release Date for The Witcher Battle Arena Announced

The game is slated for release on January 22nd .

CD Projekt Red’s popular free to play MOBA game The Witcher Battle Arena will be released on January 22nd for Android and iOS. This “mobile-focused” game that is being co-developed by CD Projekt Red and Fuero Games will allow players to participate in fast paced 3-on-3 battles. The game will contain familiar characters of the Witcher universe such as the sorceress Philippa Eilhart, and Dwarven adventurer Zoltan Chivay, Assassin of Kings Letho Gulet. The protagonist of the series Geralt of Rivia has not been provided as a playable character in the game.

The developers essentially wanted to make the game free to play as it is “a paragon of fairness in mobile gaming.” The game features some in-app purchases, but they can also be unlocked for free by playing the game. CD Projekt Red are also working on another project named Cyberpunk 2077 which is still in development. A sequel to the titled game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also under development and is slated for release on May 19.
