Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom DLC is right around the corner, and with the upcoming new expansion, Gunfire Games has also added a brand new archetype to the game - the Invoker. While it is a new archetype, complete with its own set of skills, weapons, and armor set, the Invoker feels more like a support archetype that's meant for the Ritualist.
The Invoker, which is quite powerful in its own right, looks like the perfect fit for the Invoker, as a secondary archetype. Most of the Invoker's skills are either support-oriented or focused on offense, something that felt like it was lacking within the Ritualist's skillset, which was mostly geared towards a defensive and passive playstyle.
Here's everything you need to know about Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom, the Invoker, and more.

The Invoker from Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom is a perfect support archetype for the Ritualist
Archetypes in Remnant 2 are essentially classes, which not only dictate your character's stats but also the skills they will have access to, and also the passive traits they will be able to invest in. However, unlike other action role-playing games with similar systems, Remnant 2 does not lock you into a single class, i.e., archetype for your entire playthrough.
After a certain point in the game, you can add a secondary archetype, mixing and matching two classes to create a hybrid playstyle of your choice. You can essentially mix any two archetypes in the game, as long as you meet all the requirements to unlock them.
While your primary archetype is still the one that dictates your character's stats and traits, the secondary archetype serves as an additional set of skills that you have access to. Much like The Forgotten Kingdom's Invoker, the Ritualist is the DLC archetype that was added to Remnant 2 with the previous story expansion - The Awakened King.
The Invoker's Prime Perk is Visionary, which essentially buffs all skills, reduces cooldown, and best of all, doubles skill charges. The entirety of Invoker's playstyle is centered around skill usage. Given the Ritualist has access to some really powerful, albeit cooldown-heavy skills, the Invoker seems to be the perfect fit for the archetype.
The Ritualist's Deathwish skill is admittedly quite overpowered, but since it runs on a rather lengthy cooldown, it's not viable in combat, especially if you're playing the game solo. However, with Invoker's Prime Perk active (as a secondary archetype), you can easily cut Deathwish's cooldown in half.
This also is true for other Ritualist skills, like Eruption and Miasma, both of which can help you easily take down bosses, without much hassle. Invoker can also work quite well with other archetypes in the game, especially those that rely on skills for damage, like Challenger, Gunslinger, etc., but the new archetype seems to be the best fit for the Ritualist.
