Resident Evil 2 News: How to get past the time limit on the demo on PC

The Resident Evil 2 demo is officially out, and those who are anticipating the remake of the iconic game have been eagerly rushing through it, attempting to clear it before the 30-minute time limit runs out.

Running through the Raccoon City Police Station, Leon Kennedy will be forced to face unrelenting horrors as the former citizens and police officers turn into flesh-hungry terrors. While evading death, which waits around every corner, players will also have to solve a series of puzzles in order to get to the end of the demo before the time runs out.

Reportedly, less than 30% of players so far have completed the demo up to this point, as the time-limit leaves them stressing, making huge mistakes, ultimately costing them a ton of time on their runs. Some other players are terrified to begin because once they do, anything that may happen would screw up their one shot at playing.

Well, fear not, fellow gamers! At least, PC gamers.

If you're playing the Resident Evil 2 Demo on Steam, there's a way to keep playing even after your time limit has run out. This trick from Twisted Voxel seems to erase that issue, allowing players to replay the demo as many times as they want.

In order to do this, you'll have to delete some files in your Steam folder. However, if done correctly, you'll be able to come back to Raccoon City as many times as you want before Resident Evil 2 is released.

• Finish the demo
• Delete files in [Steam\userdata\[YOUR ID]\961440]
• Download the SteamAchievementManager (SAM) on GitHub
• Use SAM to delete achievements by entering Game ID [961440]
• Rinse and repeat

As far as PlayStation 4, Switch and Xbox One users...well, luckily you only have two weeks until Resident Evil 2 is released.
