Respawn Entertainment teases new Legend Alter in Apex Legends

Respawn Entertainment reportedly teased its new arrival Alter in Apex Legends across multiple platforms. The latest teasers were shared in an X post by dataminer HYPERMYSTx (@HYPERMYSTx). According to these posts, players can summon a White Dragon Mahjong easter egg in firing range in Apex Legends.

A few teasers — shared across other platforms such as Apex Legend's official website — showed the game's Lobby animation and leaked images from datamined files that contained the Alter dragon emblem. This article takes a brief look at all the easter eggs for Alter in Apex Legends.

1) Apex Legends X handle profile picture

Alter was teased in a profile update of Apex Legend's official X handle. The latest legend's white dragon emblem was painted on the faces of Mirage, Rampart, and Crypro in the cover art.

2) Urban Assault Collection Event Trailer

The second big tease for Alter in Apex Legends arrived in the trailer of the Urban Assault Collection event. Her emblem and design elements were repeatedly showcased throughout the video. Alter's logo appeared on the scoreboard, then in the leaderboard for Apex Rumble, and as the trailer reached its conclusion, a voice not belonging to anyone in the active roster could be heard laughing in the background.

3) Alter taking over Legends in leaked data-mined image

The Alter logo was also found in an image datamined by @HYPERMYSTx. Shared on X, the image shows her somehow taking over every Legends banner and taunting them via legend-specific quotes. Some of the quotes are:

• Pathfinder: "You'll never be a real boy" (taunting to the fact that he is a machine)
• Octane: "Run Rabbit as fast as you can" (Taunt on Octane's Stim ability)
• Revenant: "You're so so so scary" (Taunt on Revenant's past as a mercenary)
• Valkyrie: "What legacy" (Taunt on Valkyrie's father's legacy)

4) Apex Legends lobby animation Alter easter egg

Alter was also teased in the Apex Lobby animation where some tentacle-like arms appear to knock the utensils off MRVN's tray. Players can view this easter egg by simply waiting in an Apex Lobby without starting matchmaking. This is a cool easter egg reportedly viewed as a tease for the upcoming Legend.

5) White Dragon Mahjong easter egg

The most recent tease for Alter in Apex Legends is an easter egg. It can be found in the firing range and can only be performed with active Legend Wraith. Here are some steps to initiate the easter egg:

1. Launch the game, select Wraith from the Legends tab, and then start firing range mode.
2. Pick up Nessie which can be found near the weapon armory.
3. After Nessie is in your inventory make a portal using Wraith's Ultimate ability.
4. Stand next to one of the portals and drop Nessie from your inventory.
5. Nessie would be sucked into the portal rift and a White Dragon Mohjang piece will be dropped from the other portal.
6. You can press F to interact with the piece and inspect it. But it will not appear in your inventory.
