The Reverse 1999 global server is three patches behind the Chinese (CN) version. While global players are currently in version 1.8, the CN version was recently updated with the 2.1 patch. Between them, there are plenty of Arcanists Bluepoch will introduce. Global players might be curious about which Arcanists will debut in the upcoming updates.

This article lists all Arcanists and their brief descriptions debuting in versions 1.9 and 2.0, mitigating the curiosity. All information we’ve gathered is based on the title’s CN version. So, the names and skills of characters might be different when released globally.

All Reverse 1999 upcoming Arcanists in version 1.9

1) Lucy

Lucy is a 6-star upcoming Arcanist of the Intellect Afflatus. She deals Reality damage and has DPS, Assemble, and Follow-up Attack tags. This Reverse 1999 Arcanist can advance all her skills to change their effects and deal additional damage.

Here are the details of her skills in Reverse 1999:

  • Power of Speed (Basic Skill): This attack deals damage to one enemy and consumes 10 stacks of Dynamo to deal extra damage. After Advancement, it turns into a mass Attack, damaging two enemies. Additionally, she consumes 5 stacks of Dynamo to deal extra damage.
  • Electric Surge (Basic Skill): It is a mass attack that deals damage to two enemies. She consumes 10 stacks of Dynamo to either attack one additional enemy or extra damage if there are less than 3 enemies. After Advancement, this attack deals extra Genesis damage to two enemies. She consumes 5 stacks of Dynamo to either attack one extra enemy or deal additional damage if there are less than three enemies.
  • A Step Forward (Ultimate Skill): Lucy’s Ultimate Skill, A Step Forward, buffs herself. She enters Pragmatist status for two rounds, gains 1 stack of Data Iteration, and loads two Ammunition. After Reinforce, the Ultimate Skill also grants one Moxie and causes her to load two stacks of Overcharged Ammunition.

The Pragmatist effect gives Afflatus advantage, regardless of the enemy’s Afflatus. The Afflatus advantage damage bonus is increased by 10%. The Data Iteration buffs attack by 4% and it can stack up to 5 times and is dispellable. Advancement can reinforce one out of three incantations at the beginning of the next round. If all three are reinforced, it reinforces the Ultimate skill.

2) Kakania

Kakania, the Plant Afflatus Arcanist, will debut in the Reverse 1999’s version 1.9 update. She is a 6-star rarity Arcanist with Support, Def, and Burst Damage tags and deals Mental damage. This Arcanist takes 50% of the damage taken by other allies and stores 10% of it as Empathy.

Kakania can unleash the Empathy effect to deal extra Genesis damage in Reverse 1999. She can buff one ally by increasing their Attack at the cost of her HP. Moreover, she can deal Burst damage with the help of her Ultimate.

  • Subconscious (Basic Skill): It deals damage to a single target while used. Additionally, the skill can deal a percentage of her Empathy value as Genesis damage.
  • Association (Basic Skill): This skill can buff a single ally, by increasing their attack. If Kakania casts it on herself, she recovers HP. If cast on an ally, she loses a certain percentage of her HP and gives Solace to the ally lasting 2 rounds.
  • ID, Ego, and Superego (Ultimate Skill): It deals damage to a single target. Additionally, she deals a percentage of Genesis damage based on her Empathy value and clears all Empathy. Then, she records the amount of damage taken by the target. She unleashes a certain percentage of recorded damage to deal Genesis damage.

3) Lorelei

Lorelei was a free 5-star Reverse 1999 Arcanist in the CN’s version 1.9 update. Players could obtain her as a reward by playing the title’s one of the latest game modes, A Series of Dusks. She is a Support character with a DPS tag in the title. This Star-type Arcanist can debuff and buff the enemies and deal mental damage to them.

Here are the details of her skills in Revese 1999:

  • Ashore (Basic Skill): It deals attacks on two enemies and inflicts one stack of Weakness on them.
  • Overseas Call (Basic Skill): It buffs all her allies, increasing their Critical Damage and Damage Reduction for 2 rounds.
  • Drifting Song (Ultimate Skill): Her Ultimate deals damage to all enemies. For every Attack-type card she has while casting the Ultimate, she gets a 20% Mental damage buff. For every Buff-type card, she acquires a 10% Critical Rate buff. For every Debuff-type card, she obtains a 20% Penetration Rate.

4) Semmelweis

Semmelweis is another free character, which CN players could get through a login event in Reverse 1999's patch 1.9. She is of 6-star rarity and possesses the Mineral Afflatus. The Arcanist deals Reality damage and has the Support, DPS, and Blood Burn tags. Her Ultimate Skill and Smart Tactics (Basic Skill) is a buff-type skill, whereas Metal Floppy Disk (Basic Skill) deals damage to a single target.

Here are the details of Semmelweis’s skills in Reverse 1999:

  • Metal Floppy Disk (Basic Skill): It deals damage to a single target and causes her to lose 10% of her current HP.
  • Smart Tactics (Basic Skill): It buffs a single target, granting them the New Blood status effect for 2 rounds. After that, all other allies gain a Damage Bonus buff; the one under the New Blood status gains an additional Damage Bonus buff lasting two rounds. The New Blood effect grants a 15% Critical Rate buff but reduces 5% of the current HP before casting a skill.
  • Rising and Rising (Ultimate Skill): While casting Rising and Rising, the mass buff Ultimate Skill, reduces the HP of allies equal to 20% of their Current HP. Additionally, the skill sets up an Array and all allies get Blood Red Realm, lasting three rounds. The allies also enter Wild status for three rounds. The Blood Red Realm gives a 20% Damage Reduction and a 5% Damage Bonus (up to 40%) for every 10% HP lost. The Wild status casts Truth Revealed if it is in effect at the end of the turn. Truth Revealed deals 80% Reality damage to all enemies.

All Reverse 1999 upcoming Arcanists in version 2.0

1) J

J is a Beast Afflatus Arcanist of 6-star rarity which Timekeepers will see in patch 2.0. He has DPS, Shield, and Riposte tags in the title. He can debuff enemies with Hardness Testing (Basic Skill) and counter with Heat Treating (Basic Skill). On the other hand, he can deal damage with the Ultimate Skill, Over the Haight Street.

Below are the details of J’s skills in Reverse 1999:

  • Hardness Testing (Basic Skill): It debuffs a single target by inflicting 2 stacks of Burn. Every stack of Burn increases allies’ damage that lasts two rounds. The attack also deals Reality damage to enemies.
  • Heat Treating (Basic Skill): It is J’s mass counter skill that gives Shields to J and his allies for two rounds. Each stack of Burn on J increases the Shield’s value. If an enemy attacks anyone with the Shield, they riposte with High Temperature Tempering. The High Temperature Tempering damages all enemies and inflicts 2 stacks of Burn when hit. The damage of this attack increases based on the HP lost by the caster.
  • Over the Haight Street (Ultimate Skill): J’s Ultimate Skill, Over the Haight Street, deals damage to all enemies. Before attacking, he inflicts the same number of Burn stacks on enemies he carried. For every extra Burn stack (above 30) on the main target, it deals additional Reality damage.

2) Mercuria

Mercuria is another 6-star Arcanist, debuting in the Reverse 1999 version 2.0 update. She has Spirit Afflatus and Support, DPS, and Adjustment tags, and deals Mental damage to enemies. She can enemies with Restless Souls (Basic Skill) and buff allies with Self Focusing (Basic Skill). Her Ultimate can deal damage to enemies, dispel buffs from them, and grant the Adjustment effect to allies.

Here are the details of her skills in Reverse 1999:

  • Restless Souls (Basic Skill): It deals damage to a single target and restores the HP of the ally with the lowest HP. She can also deal additional Mental damage for each two/three-star incantation card in the action zone.
  • Self Focusing (Basic Skill): It buffs all allies by increasing their Critical Rate by 20%. They also gain Cosmic Energy for two rounds. The Cosmic Energy can increase the amount of Damage Dealt by the allies.
  • Morning Star For the Night (Ultimate Skill): It attacks all enemies and dispels the Status Up and Pos. Status from them. Then, it inflicts 400% damage and gives Adjustment to all allies, lasting two rounds. The Adjustment effect gives one extra rank to the allies’ cards.

3) Pioneer

Pioneer is also a Spirit Afflatus Arcanist, debuting in Reverse 1999’s patch 2.0. He is of 3-star rarity and has Displacement, Support, and Shield tags. Timekeepers could get his Arcanist for free in the CN version. This Arcanist can change its position by moving forward after dealing damage with Competitive Differentiation (Basic Skill).

Pioneer can change its position by moving backward after using his Transaction Gift (Basic Skill). The Ultimate Skill, A Bridge or a Window, can buff a single ally and swap Pioneer’s position with the same ally.

Here are the details of his skills in Reverse 1999:

  • Competitive Differentiation (Basic Skill): It deals damage to a single target; then, moves forward one/two/three positions with one/two/three-star rank cards.
  • Transaction Gift (Basic Skill): It is a self-counter skill that gives Taunt to Pioneer. His Reality and Mental Defense also increases by 25% for two rounds. He moves backward one/two/three positions with one/two/three-star rank cards.
  • A Bridge or a Window (Ultimate Skill): It buffs a single target by giving them a Shield for two rounds. Pioneer exchanges positions with the ally, allowing them to gain Travelling Salesman for one round.
